Does the bot access private messages?

Our bot only monitors channels and conversations where it has been explicitly added. Private direct messages between users remain private unless specifically configured by your administrator. All access permissions are controlled by your Slack workspace settings.

How fast is detection?

Detection happens in real-time as messages are sent. Our AI processes messages within milliseconds, providing instant alerts or automated responses to prevent data leaks before they can spread.

Does this slow Slack down?

No, our lightweight bot operates seamlessly in the background without affecting Slack’s performance. The bot uses minimal resources and processes messages asynchronously to ensure your team’s productivity isn’t impacted.

Is data stored or processed externally?

How do we ensure integration security?

All integrations use OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, or API key authentication with encrypted transmission. Polygraf never stores credentials — only access tokens. We support IP whitelisting and VPC endpoints for air-gapped deployments.

What data leaves our organization?

With on-premises or private cloud deployment, no data leaves your infrastructure. The integration only sends policy-matched events and audit logs. Sensitive content is anonymized before any external transmission.

How often are new integrations added?

We release 2–3 new integrations per quarter based on customer demand. Have a specific tool? Submit a request via the Integrations Roadmap — top-requested integrations are prioritized.

Do all integrations work on air-gapped deployments?

No. Cloud-dependent integrations (Splunk Cloud, Salesforce) require internet connectivity. On-premises SIEM forwarding and local identity systems (LDAP) work fully air-gapped.

Can we use multiple identity providers?

Yes. Polygraf supports federated identity — you can have Azure AD SSO for users and Okta for contractors, simultaneously. All identities are merged in the Governance Dashboard.

What SLA do integrations have?

Native integrations are covered under our platform SLA (99.9% uptime). Beta integrations are best-effort. API integrations are as reliable as the underlying API you are calling.
